Job Summary

Duties

• Lead the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and month-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements across all financial activities.
• Manage internal controls and conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to verify data integrity.
• Supervise the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; optimize spreadsheet use for data analysis and reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
• Coordinate external audits, prepare regulatory reports, and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit or governmental entities if applicable.
• Lead a high-performing finance team by managing hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial management practices.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Manage treasury functions including cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance standards, and governmental or non-profit accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems; strong Excel data analysis skills using spreadsheets for detailed financial modeling.
• Expertise in financial report writing with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger management.
• Experience managing accounting teams with leadership skills that motivate high performance and professional growth.
• Skilled in budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, cost accounting analysis, and financial management strategies.
• Ability to ensure regulatory compliance through rigorous internal controls and audit preparation.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards and experience working with diverse financial systems is a plus.

Pay: $89,886.98 - $108,250.98 per year
