Financial Controller

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee the financial management and accounting operations of US entities engaged primarily in IT services and retail operations. The role will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, audits, and providing financial insights to senior management.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the financial management of US entities engaged in IT services and retail operations.
• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations across multiple US entities.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and variance analysis.
• Monitor financial performance, working capital, cash flows, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and other financial stakeholders.
• Support tax filings, statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and business leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Work closely with business and operational teams to support financial planning and business decisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with significant experience managing financial operations.
• Experience managing US-based entities, preferably across multiple business operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Strong experience in month-end/year-end closing, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audits, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing intercompany transactions and multi-entity accounting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
• Prior experience in IT services, retail, or other multi-entity US operations.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
