Financial Controller

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead our finance operations based in Chennai. In this strategic role, you will oversee the integrity of our financial data, ensuring that all accounting practices align with global standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, external auditors, and cross-functional department heads to drive fiscal discipline and operational efficiency. By streamlining our end-to-end financial processes, you will directly influence the company's bottom line, providing the actionable insights necessary for sustainable business growth and long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the full-cycle accounting operations, including Record to Report, to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

• Oversee the Order to Cash and Accounts Payable cycles to optimize working capital and maintain robust cash flow management.

• Establish and enforce internal financial controls to mitigate risk and ensure total compliance with statutory and regulatory mandates.

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for senior management, translating complex data into strategic narratives that support informed decision-making.

• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure seamless audits and adherence to evolving fiscal policies.

• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and precision across all accounting functions.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrate deep expertise in managing complex financial reporting frameworks and ensuring rigorous compliance across multi-entity operations.

• Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to communicate financial performance effectively to non-finance stakeholders and executive boards.

• Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification, backed by a proven track record of managing large-scale financial operations.

• Show proficiency in leveraging ERP systems to automate and refine Order to Cash and Record to Report workflows.

• Maintain the adaptability required to thrive in an on-site work environment in Chennai, managing high-pressure deadlines with composure and analytical rigor.

• Display exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with global teams and external partners to achieve organizational objectives.
