Financial Controller (Remote) | PE-Backed Professional Services

Camino Search is partnered with a private equity-backed professional services business to appoint a Financial Controller. Following investment, the business is scaling quickly, and finance is central to delivering its growth plan. This is a fully remote role.

Reporting to the CFO, you will own the accounting and control environment and play a key part in strengthening reporting across the group.

The role

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close across a multi-entity group, including consolidation and intercompany
• Own and optimise Sage Intacct, including dimensions, reporting, automation and system improvements
• Manage revenue recognition across time-and-materials, fixed-fee and retainer engagements, including WIP and deferred income
• Oversee working capital, billing and cash collection, with a focus on lock-up and debtor days
• Prepare board, sponsor and lender reporting, including covenant compliance
• Manage statutory accounts and the external audit, and lead and develop a small remote team

About you

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with Financial Controller or senior Group Reporting experience
• Strong, hands-on Sage Intacct experience is essential
• Background in professional services or another people-based, project-driven business
• Experience in a PE-backed environment and the reporting pace that comes with it
• Self-motivated and comfortable leading a team and building process remotely
