Financial Controller

Job Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Analyse financial performance, variances, profitability and financial trends.
• Provide financial information and advice to Management for decision-making.

1. Construction Project Finance

• Monitor project financial performance, project costs, revenue and profitability.
• Review project budgets, cost-to-complete and cash flow projections.
• Monitor project variation orders, claims, progress billings, retention and receivables.

1. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor the Company's cash flow and working capital.

• Oversee banking facilities, guarantees, bonds and financing arrangements.

1. Budgeting & Forecasting & Banking Management

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Monitor actual results against approved budgets and investigate significant variances.
• Manage the Company's banking relationships and financial facilities.

1. Audit & Tax

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and other professional advisers.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory audits and tax submissions.
• Follow up on audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.

1. Risk Management & Governance

• Identify financial and operational risks affecting the Company and its projects.
• Strengthen financial governance and risk management controls.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent is preffred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably with experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
