Financial Controller

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and close outstanding items.
• Prepare/review P&L and Balance Sheet schedules and support financial statement preparation.
• Ensure accounting and reporting compliance with Indian GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Handle provisions, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, and other GL transactions.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and provide required schedules and documentation.
• Support internal controls, financial reporting, and process improvement/automation.
• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 24 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in GL Accounting and month-end/year-end closing.
• Strong practical knowledge of Indian GAAP — mandatory.
• Good knowledge of journal entries, accruals, provisions, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Experience in financial statement preparation, P&L analysis, and audit coordination.
• Exposure to internal controls and controllership activities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
