Job Advert Summary

Manage and control all financial activities for the business. This includes, but is not limited to, exploring and seeking various workable financial frameworks. Assist the Financial Director and the financial team with the financial execution. Work in collaborations with all areas of finance in reviewing, scrutinising and developing efficient and effective systems, controls and process flows

Minimum Requirements

B.Com Accounting or similar qualification with 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role (Experience in the Automotive industry preferred).

Completed Articles will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing and interpreting financial information
• Financial performance analysis
• Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction and avoidance opportunities
• Stake holder management with appropriate contacts e.g. customers, suppliers, auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the SARS.
• Assist with the formulation of forecasts, strategic and long-term business plans
• Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation. Ensure that the company is compliant.
• Assist finance team with ad-hoc finance projects
• Assist with internal and external auditing processes
• Continuously review and maintain a sustainable documented system of accounting policies and procedures for area of responsibility
• Prepare and manage monthly GL reconciliations
• Prepare and manage monthly Executrax billing to customers and other business units
• Debtors management – including but not limited to the opening of accounts, management of credit limits, attending to customer queries, leading debtor review meetings and assessment of bad debts
• Process and manage warranty claim payments to dealers
• Manage ERP system tickets and queries
• Prepare monthly credit note lists for authorisation by department managers
• Process and confirm BFS monthly Inter-company
• Process authorised journals on ERP system
• Oversee cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• Oversee fixed asset processing
• Oversee inter-company processing
