Financial Controller

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Company’s financial accounting, reporting, statutory compliance and consolidation activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Review financial performance, forecasts, budgets, cost analysis and management reports, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
• Manage the Company’s treasury, cash flow, banking facilities, credit arrangements, investments, hedging and other banking matters.
• Monitor and manage the Company’s financial position, including cash flow, balance sheet, working capital and financial commitments.
• Drive cost control, cost reduction initiatives and improvements in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), inventory and CAPEX management.
• Lead, supervise and develop the Finance team, including performance management, training, work rotation and succession planning.
• Collaborate with relevant departments and Finance personnel to ensure accurate, timely and reliable financial information and reporting.
• Provide financial advice and recommendations to the General Manager on financial matters, treasury, tax planning and business strategies, including preparation of monthly business updates and reports for Headquarters.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, financial controls, reporting requirements and applicable regulations, and liaise with auditors, bankers and other external parties when required.
• Work closely with the General Manager to drive financial performance and achieve the Company’s business goals and targets.
• Support Company Secretarial activities, including preparation and coordination of Board papers and materials for Board meetings.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an added advantage.
• 8–10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong financial analysis and costing skills, with good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of treasury, cash flow management, financial controls, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Experience in Supply Chain and cross-functional collaboration, with a good understanding of Production and operational processes.
• Experience in leading, supervising and developing a Finance team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, results-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
