Financial Controller

Responsibilities Kforce is seeking a hands-on, high-execution Financial Controller for a direct-hire role starting by late October 2026 to lead year-end close and December audit preparations. The role requires occasional evening overlap with Australia and potential December travel.

Requirements

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA (or equivalent) with Big Four or mid-tier public accounting training
• Leadership & Tenure: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller responsibilities
• Audit Experience: 3+ years in external audit (running fieldwork) PLUS preparer-side experience for 2+ full-cycle statutory audits
• Technical Accounting: Deep US GAAP expertise, practical ASC 606 (SaaS/subscription) and ASC 830 (multi-currency, translation, revaluation)
• Core Finance Operations: Hands-on multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing, deferred revenue waterfalls, and tax coordination
• Execution Style: Must personally perform month-end close, reconciliations, billing, and AR within a lean team environment

Preferred Skills

• SaaS Metrics: Experience with ARR, NRR, hardware/software hybrid streams, and NetSuite/Maxio tools
• International: Exposure to UK, Australia, or New Zealand markets and managing offshore finance teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
