Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control systems. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and timely preparation of financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial performance, budget variances, revenues, and operating expenses to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure accurate reporting and safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and relevant banking regulations.
• Oversee tax reporting, statutory submissions, and other financial compliance requirements.
• Monitor cash positions, bank reconciliations, liquidity, and treasury-related activities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Identify financial risks, recommend corrective actions, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

About you

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant banking industry experience is required, preferably in financial control, accounting, financial reporting, treasury, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), taxation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience in audit coordination, financial risk management, and statutory compliance.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, or in an equivalent senior finance position is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.

Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
