About the Role
RHIA is a pioneering force in hospitality technology, unifying data streams across hotel operations to provide complete visibility. Founded by industry veterans and backed by institutional investors, we are shaping the next chapter of hospitality. We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to establish and own our core finance function from our Gurgaon office. This is a foundational role for a professional who excels in both execution and strategy, ready to manage all aspects of finance today and build a team as we scale.

What You’ll Own

You will be the cornerstone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. Your core areas of ownership will include:
* **Full-Cycle Accounting:** Maintaining the general ledger, managing bookkeeping activities, and executing a seamless month-end and year-end close process.
* **Financial Reporting:** Preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for founders and the board.
* **Statutory Compliance:** Ensuring full compliance across the UAE and, as we expand, in India. This encompasses corporate tax, GST/VAT, TDS, annual audits, and ROC filings.
* **Operations Management:** Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, banking relationships, and proactive cash flow management.
* **Process Design & Procurement:** Establishing, documenting, and managing efficient procurement and financial approval workflows.
* **Planning & Analysis:** Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to guide business decisions.
* **Payroll Oversight:** Coordinating with our Employer of Record (EOR) providers to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.

Requirements

* A professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or an equivalent international certification.
* 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with proven, hands-on controller-level ownership in a dynamic environment.
* Strong, practical knowledge of statutory compliance and financial reporting requirements in the UAE and/or India.
* Proven ability to serve as a one-person finance department with the vision to build and lead a team in the future.
* High proficiency with modern accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms).
* A curious and innovative mindset, with a genuine interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve finance workflows.
* Exceptional organizational skills, sharp analytical abilities, and comfort operating autonomously in the ambiguity of an early-stage, high-growth company.

Nice to Have

* Prior experience in the technology/SaaS or hospitality sectors.
* Exposure to international finance operations and multi-currency accounting.
* Experience with financial data integration or analytics platforms.
* A track record of implementing or improving financial systems and processes in a startup environment.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,200,000.00 per year
