Are you a technically strong finance professional looking for the chance to take on a broader role in a growing fashion business?

A multi-brand fashion group is looking for someone to strengthen financial reporting and control across its portfolio. The business brings together established British clothing brands, selling through digital and retail channels, with a focus on quality and more sustainable fashion. As the group develops, there’s an opportunity to improve the systems, processes and financial insight behind its next stage of growth.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a broad role spanning group reporting, cash flow, audit and controls, alongside developing the finance team. There’s flexibility on level: an experienced candidate could join as Group Financial Controller, while someone recently qualified could come in at Finance Manager level and grow into the role.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing consolidated management accounts and reporting for the monthly Board pack
• Producing variance analysis and tracking KPIs to give leadership a clearer view of group performance
• Leading month-end and year-end processes, ensuring statutory compliance and working with external auditors on complex audit areas
• Managing cash flow, working capital and relationships with external lenders
• Managing tax compliance across UK and international markets
• Overseeing supplier payments and credit control processes to support effective cash management
• Strengthening financial policies, systems and controls as the group grows
• Providing financial insight to the CFO and senior leadership team
• Mentoring and developing colleagues within finance

What would we love to see from you?

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent
• A strong technical grounding, whether gained in audit or industry
• Confidence working across reporting, controls and complex accounting matters
• Clear communication and the ability to work with senior stakeholders
• A hands-on approach and an interest in improving how finance operates
• Retail experience would be helpful, but isn’t essential

Location: Cornwall (4 days per week in the office)
