Elevation are exclusively partnered with a a well-established business in Salford, part of a larger, financially strong group, to appoint a Financial Controller. This is a genuine chance for an ambitious practice-trained accountant to take full ownership of a finance function, forming part of the Senior Leadership team and overseeing a small transactional finance team.

If you’ve built strong technical foundations in audit or accounts and want to see the commercial side up close, this is a role where that background will be valued from day one.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning month end and producing monthly management accounts with clear, commercial commentary
• Leading budgeting and forecasting, working closely with the MD and group finance leads.
• Managing balance sheet integrity, cash and working capital
• Leading the year-end and audit process (you’ll know it from the other side)
• Strengthening controls and processes as the business grows
• Leading and developing a small finance team

What we’re looking for

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent, trained in practice
• Some industry exposure is a bonus, but not essential
• Confident communicator who can build credibility with operational leaders
• Ambition to grow into a broader group-level role
