We’re hiring: Financial Controller – Sonect Group (UK & Switzerland)

London /Zurich Remote-friendly | Fractional | Immediate start preferred

Sonect is a Swiss fintech that turns local shops into cash points: people withdraw cash at the counter through an app instead of an ATM. As we scale across markets, we need a hands-on Financial Controller to own the numbers across our UK and Swiss entities.

What you’ll own

• Month-end and year-end close for UK and Swiss entities, plus group consolidation
• Statutory accounts and audit coordination (UK GAAP/FRS 102 and Swiss CO)
• VAT, tax and regulatory filings in both jurisdictions, working with external advisors
• Cash flow forecasting, treasury and multi-currency (CHF / GBP / EUR) management
• Monthly management reporting and board/investor packs for the CEO
• Budgeting, variance analysis and cost control
• Tightening controls, processes and systems as we grow

What you bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Swiss Certified Expert or equivalent)
• 7+ years’ experience, including multi-entity, cross-border reporting
• Hands-on knowledge of UK and Swiss accounting and tax
• Fintech, payments or regulated financial services experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable in a lean startup: you do the work, not just review it
• Fluent English; German is a bonus
