Job title: Financial Controller

Location: London, hybrid working.

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000

Sector: PE backed E-commerce business

I am currently partnering with a PE backed E-commerce business who are growing within the UK and looking for a Financial Controller to come and join the team. This is a newly created role due to consistent growth of the company, you'll be working with their European entities to have full ownership.

For this role some of your responsibilities will include:

• Take ownership of financial control across French entities within an international business, driving reporting accuracy, strong governance and compliance with Group and local accounting standards.
• Lead and enhance month end and year end processes, bringing technical accounting expertise and identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and financial controls.
• Oversee key accounting areas including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and capital expenditure, ensuring robust financial management and accurate reporting.
• Lead statutory reporting and audit activities, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on complex accounting matters.
• Partner with senior finance colleagues across FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Operations, providing financial insight to support business performance and strategic decision making.
• Play a key role in finance transformation, driving automation, streamlining processes and implementing improvements to the wider reporting framework.
• Identify emerging financial risks and champion continuous improvement, helping shape best practice across the finance function.

To be consider for this role you will:

• Qualified accountant either ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and ideally 1-2 years experience in industry. (if from practice)
• Experience working across European entities and having a good understanding of local requirements.
• Comfortable communicating to local teams and feeding this back to the business.
• Prior experience working with senior stakeholders to influence decision making.
