An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Financial Controller to join the team at Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre, part of the growing JMK Group hospitality portfolio.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on finance professional who can combine strong financial expertise with commercial insight to support the hotel's continued success.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the hotel's finance function, working closely with the General Manager and Group Finance Team to drive financial performance, maintain robust financial controls and support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against targets.
• Analyse revenue, costs, profitability and key hotel performance indicators.
• Manage cash flow, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure strong financial controls, compliance and adherence to company policies.
• Support payroll accuracy, labour cost management and departmental cost controls.
• Partner with the General Manager and department heads to identify commercial opportunities and drive profitability.
• Work collaboratively with the wider JMK Group Finance Team.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings more than just numbers to the table.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within hospitality.
• A relevant accounting qualification or strong equivalent experience.
• Excellent financial reporting, budgeting and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to turn financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to challenge and support operational decisions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
