Financial Controller

Job Overview

As a Financial Controller, you’ll lead core accounting operations and turn accurate financial information into clear, useful insights. You’ll oversee financial close processing, reporting, cash management, and compliance while guiding the accounting team. Duties

• Manage general ledger accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, and balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury management, and cash management activities.
• Lead financial close processing; prepare financial statements, regulatory reporting, and clear financial report writing.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; perform financial analysis, account analysis, and cost accounting analysis.
• Manage accounting teams, maintain accounting systems, and strengthen financial controls and regulatory compliance.

Skills

• Required: Accounting or financial accounting experience; knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), financial reporting, financial compliance, and accounting software or financial software.
• Required: Strong spreadsheets and Excel data analysis skills, financial acumen, and experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial management.
• Preferred: SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), corporate, public, international, non-profit, or governmental accounting.
• Preferred: Technical accounting, regulatory compliance accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.

Pay: $102,000.00 - $124,000.00 per year
