About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and motivated Financial Controller Intern to join our Formula E team at Monaco Sports Group – MSG Racing.

As a Financial Controller Intern, you will work closely with the CFO to support month-end close processes, financial analysis, variance reporting, and compliance audits. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world corporate finance, offering mentorship and deep exposure to financial operations.

Interviews will be held last week of October in Monaco or via Teams.

Company Information

Monaco Sports Group – MSG Racing, is a Formula E team with an office in Monaco. After three years with Maserati as its title and powertrain partner, the team has competed under the name Citroën Racing Formula E-Team since season 2025-2026 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Internship Information

• Start date: January 2027 - with mandatory training in December (schedule TBC)
• Length: 6 months
• Working week: 39 hours, Monday to Friday
• Location: Monaco (must live in / move to Alpes Maritimes / Monaco / nearby Italian cities)
• Travel: No travelling, no remote working
• Monthly gratification: 800 eur

Internship Mission

· Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analyses.

· Month-End Close: Support with journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and bank reconciliations during the month-end close cycle.

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Help track departmental budgets, analyze actual expenditures against forecasts, and investigate financial variances.

· Internal Controls & Compliance: Assist in reviewing financial processes, testing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and company policies.

· Process Improvement: Participate in projects to streamline financial operations, automate reporting workflows, and enhance data accuracy.

· Audit Support: Organize financial documentation, schedules, and reports in preparation for internal and external audits.

Candidate Profile

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic financial modeling).
• Familiarity with accounting software (Sage is a strong plus)
• Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for working with large sets of financial data and solving complex problems.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly.
• Work Ethic: Highly organized, autonomous, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
