As part of our continued development, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our Group headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Group finance function, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent financial reporting across subsidiaries.
• Provide financial oversight and guidance to subsidiary finance teams, including review of monthly and year-end financial results, key reconciliations and significant transactions.
• Lead Group consolidation and preparation of financial statements and management reports in accordance with MFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead the Group budgeting and forecasting process, monitor performance against targets and identify key risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Analyse financial and operational performance and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to Management to support business and strategic decisions.
• Strengthen financial governance across the Group through effective financial policies, internal controls and reporting processes.
• Oversee Group cash flow, liquidity and working capital management and recommend measures to optimise financial resources.
• Coordinate external audits, tax matters and other financial compliance requirements across the Group.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting, automation and finance processes.
• Partner with Management on CAPEX, investments, business expansion, restructuring and other strategic or corporate initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA or equivalent is preferred
• Approximately 10 years or more of relevant finance experience, with demonstrated experience in a senior finance or Financial Controller capacity
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, audit, cash flow management and internal controls
• Experience in a listed company, group environment or manufacturing business would be advantageous
• Experience dealing with senior management, auditors, banks and Board-level stakeholders
• Strong commercial and analytical capability with the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations
• Comfortable operating in a lean organisation where the role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
• High level of integrity, accountability and professional judgement
