FINANCIAL COUNSELOR

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs all aspects of billing for professional services including reimbursement follow up analysis and data entry of provider charges. Familiar with accounts receivable and collection activities. Utilizes resources available to ensure full compliance with federal Medicare and Medicaid laws and regulation provisions, and in keeping with the health center mission. Is knowledgeable with CPT and ICE-10-CM coding.

Provides exceptional customer service to clinics and staff as evidenced by feedback from those clinics and staff.
Patient financial information is collected and verified.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION
None

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Two years clerical/bookkeeping experience

REQUIRED REGISTRATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Applicable Resuscitation and other position-related certifications must be obtained within the timeframe established by SRHC policy.
