Financial Development Manager

Nejoum Al Jazeera is looking for a commercially minded and analytical Financial Development Manager to support business growth through financial analysis, strategic planning, commercial opportunities, and business development initiatives.

This role is not limited to traditional finance management. The ideal candidate should be able to understand business performance, identify financial and commercial opportunities, develop practical recommendations, and work closely with senior management to improve profitability and support expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business performance, profitability, costs, cash flow, and financial trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop financial models, feasibility studies, business cases, and investment analysis for new projects and business opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margins, cost efficiency, working capital, and overall business performance.
• Provide management with practical financial and commercial recommendations to support decision making.
• Evaluate new markets, products, business models, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and management reports.
• Monitor key financial and commercial KPIs and highlight areas requiring management attention.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify potential business opportunities and financial risks.
• Support senior management in evaluating major business decisions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Work with different departments to understand operational challenges and develop financially viable solutions.
• Review existing processes and propose improvements that can increase efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management with clear findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Support negotiations and commercial discussions by providing financial analysis and business insights.
• Continuously research market trends, industry developments, and potential revenue opportunities relevant to the automotive business.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business development, commercial finance, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Strong experience in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and business case development.
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking with the ability to identify business opportunities beyond traditional finance responsibilities.
• Experience in analyzing business performance and converting financial data into practical recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Strong presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and present ideas clearly to senior management.
• Experience in the automotive, trading, retail, investment, or other commercially driven industries will be an advantage.
