About the Opportunity

An ambitious, high-growth international logistics business is seeking a Finance Director to play a key role in building and developing its US operations.

Already successfully established in Europe, the business is at an exciting stage of its US growth journey and offers an exceptional opportunity to help shape an emerging organization from the ground up.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic, commercial and operational finance. The successful individual will help take the US business from its early foundations through significant growth, building the financial infrastructure and commercial strategy required to create a scalable and profitable operation.

The Role

• Take ownership of finance across the US operation.
• Build the financial processes, controls and reporting infrastructure required to support growth.
• Partner with senior leadership on commercial strategy and operational decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, funding requirements and treasury.
• Produce management reporting and provide insight into financial and operational performance.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, audit and financial compliance.
• Help take the US operation from early-stage growth through to a fully functioning and profitable business.
• Build and develop the US finance team as the organization scales.
• Work closely with international leadership to align the US operation with the wider business.

The Candidate

• Experienced finance leader with a strong commercial and operational background.
• Previous Finance Director, Head of Finance, Controller or similar leadership experience.
• Track record of helping build, scale or transform a business or finance function.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modelling and cash flow experience.
• Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on.
• Confident working autonomously within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
• Logistics, transportation, supply chain, e-commerce, retail or distribution experience would be advantageous.
• Startup, scale-up or high-growth business experience would be particularly valuable.
