What they need
About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded FP&A / Financial Modeling professional to build and establish our FP&A capabilities from the ground up.
The role will focus on financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, business planning, performance analysis, and feasibility studies, translating business assumptions into financial insights that support management decision-making.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can build financial models from scratch, challenge assumptions, work with incomplete data, and partner closely with business teams to drive strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Build comprehensive financial models from scratch for budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and scenario analysis.
- Develop integrated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital, and cash flow forecasting models where appropriate.
- Translate business and operational assumptions into financial drivers and model outputs.
- Establish clear modeling methodologies, assumptions, structures, and documentation to ensure models are scalable, transparent, and easy to maintain.
- Lead the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with business and functional teams.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and scenario analyses to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Analyze actual performance against budget and forecast, identify key variances, and explain the underlying business drivers.
- Build financial models for new business initiatives, projects, investments, products, and expansion opportunities.
- Develop management reports and dashboards to provide visibility into financial and operational performance.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Commercial, Sales, and other functions to understand business drivers and develop realistic financial assumptions.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Approximately 3–7 years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, corporate finance, investment analysis, transaction advisory, management consulting, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong experience in building financial models from scratch, rather than only maintaining existing models.
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and financial feasibility studies.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationship between the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data manipulation.
- Experience with financial planning, BI, ERP, or reporting systems is an advantage.
- Experience in financial modeling, project finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, or corporate development is highly desirable.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies or evaluating new business/project investments.
- Experience working in a start-up, high-growth, transformation, or newly established business environment.
