Financial Modeling Manager

About the role

Manila Water Company, Inc. is seeking a Financial Modeling Head to join our Strategy & Planning team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and business intelligence across the organization. As Financial Modeling Head, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing sophisticated financial models that support strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the company. This role is essential to our ability to forecast performance, evaluate investment opportunities, and optimize operational efficiency in a dynamic utility services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serves as subject matter expert in financial modeling

• Reviews and challenges inputs and assumptions used by Financial Modelers

• Dispenses recommendations to the Management

• Reviews tariff and financial models with scenario building

• Reviews ADR/WACC computations

• Drives recommendations to the management on Company’s investment planning and regulatory exercises

• Reviews the performance of existing subsidiaries as part of the Company’s equity portfolio and makes recommendations to rebalance the portfolio.

• Reviews impairment models and impact to Parent books

• Reviews policies and makes recommendations, as needed

• Works on and reviews special projects, as necessitated

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Financial Engineering, Math

• 7+ years of professional experience in financial modelling, corporate finance, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in managing people

• Strong experience with financial modelling platforms and tools such as SAP, Power BI, or specialised modelling software

• Demonstrated expertise in developing complex financial models including DCF models, budget forecasts, and sensitivity analyses

• Proven experience in scenario and variance analysis with strong analytical and quantitative skills

• Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate finance concepts

• Experience in the utility, infrastructure, or regulated industry sector is highly preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders

• Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or FRM would be advantageous
