Financial Reporting Accountant

The role

We're looking for an experience Financial Accountant (2+ years PQE) to join the team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity. The duration of the contract will be 12-15 months.

Description of role and key responsibilities

• Main support to the Financial Controller
• Statutory reporting – production of individual legal entity and consolidated financial statements and coordination of statutory audit
• Assist on direct tax compliance to coordinate with tax advisers on timely submission of Corporation Tax computations
• Monthly accounting for main UK Group holding companies and some additional Group companies, ensuring FX is correct for USD functional currency companies
• Key finance liaison with Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending businesses, producing results for IF/ABL businesses and ensuring a strong control environment as the businesses scale up
• Covenant reporting for IF and ABL businesses
• Assisting with ongoing change management initiatives
• Key user of Netsuite accounting system
• Any other request deemed reasonable by your line manager

Core skills and knowledge

• Experienced financial accountant (2+ years PQE) with an audit background
• Core financial accounting and UK GAAP (FRS102) skillset
• Corporate tax (basic qualified level)
• VAT including partial exemption (basic qualified level)
• Consolidation capability
• Attention to detail and ability to reconcile data sets and cashflows
• Strong excel and general ledger skills
• Modelling capability
• Strong communication skills, and ability to manage senior stakeholders
• Flexibility and desire to work in a fast growing and quick moving environment
