Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

This is a consulting opportunity focused on budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders to support financial planning, reporting and analysis activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and financial plans
• Prepare and analyse financial and management reports
• Perform variance analysis and investigate key movements
• Support regular forecasting and financial planning cycles
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Assist with month-end and periodic financial reporting activities
• Reconcile and validate financial information to ensure accuracy
• Prepare financial presentations and reports for management
• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders on reporting and planning requirements
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support as required

About you

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline
• Experience as a Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst, Management Accountant or similar
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Good understanding of financial analysis and variance analysis
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
