Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join a dynamic finance organization. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, technical accounting, and SEC reporting activities within a public company environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical accounting background, including expertise in impairment, hedge, and lease accounting, along with experience in a Big Four accounting firm and/or publicly traded company.

Job Responsibilities for the Financial Reporting Manager

• Manage and support financial reporting and technical accounting initiatives.
• Apply technical accounting guidance to complex business transactions and financial activities.
• Oversee accounting and reporting related to impairment, hedge, and lease accounting.
• Assist with SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, and related disclosures.
• Research and interpret accounting standards to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with finance and accounting leadership to address technical accounting and reporting matters.
• Support special projects, process improvements, and strategic financial reporting initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and internal controls related to financial reporting and compliance activities.

Job Requirements for the F inancial Reporting Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated expertise in:
• Impairment Accounting
• Hedge Accounting
• Lease Accounting
• Experience working within a Big Four public accounting firm and/or a public company environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• SEC reporting experience.
• IPO experience.
• Background working in a publicly traded company environment.
• CPA certification preferred.
