Financial Reporting Manager

Role Description The Financial Reporting Manager (part-time, remote) is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and delivering accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making at Pós-Graduação Engenharia de Dados e Inteligência Artificial. This role oversees the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. The Financial Reporting Manager coordinates consolidation of financial data from various programs and departments, analyzes variances and trends, and provides clear explanations and recommendations. Daily activities include reconciling accounts, maintaining reporting schedules, collaborating with academic and administrative teams to gather financial information, and supporting audits or reviews as needed. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of reporting processes, documentation, and financial controls while working independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting , with experience in academic or service-based organizations.
• Proven ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements , ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for variance analysis, data interpretation, and financial performance evaluation.
• Experience with Consolidation of financial data across multiple units or entities.
• Proficiency with financial reporting tools and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar), and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a part-time schedule.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Experience working remotely, with a high level of autonomy, integrity, and respect for confidentiality.
