Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is an international financial services organization providing accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and advisory solutions to clients within the financial services sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their team in Bulgaria and play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting services to a global client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial reporting process for a portfolio of international and multinational clients.
• Act as the main point of contact for auditors, administrators, investment managers, and other external stakeholders.
• Review and approve financial statements prepared under IFRS and US GAAP.
• Research and interpret complex accounting standards and technical reporting matters.
• Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client reporting requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Support, mentor, and develop members of the reporting team.
• Contribute to recruitment, training, and retention initiatives within the department.
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and quality standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, external audit, fund accounting, or a related accounting environment.
• Previous experience with investment funds, asset management companies, financial institutions, fund administrators, or Big 4 firms is highly desirable.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP would be considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated people management or team leadership experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
