Financial Systems Manager

Finance Data & Systems Manager | 12 month FTC - chance to go permanent, £80-90k | London- hybrid working

Working closely with Finance Transformation, FP&A and Financial Control, you’ll help develop and maintain the data infrastructure that underpins financial reporting and FP&A. The role combines finance systems, data management, SQL coding and process automation.

They are looking for someone with a technical mindset and a good understanding of finance, particularly FP&A, who can take ownership, solve problems independently and identify opportunities to improve how the finance function operates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Infrastructure & Pipelines: Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, integrate new data feeds and ensure financial data is accurate, consistent and readily accessible.
• Business Intelligence: Develop and enhance the data environment, ensuring data flows correctly and supporting the delivery of effective financial reporting and insights.
• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the administration and development of financial planning models, including Adaptive Insights, ensuring formulas, calculations and processes operate accurately.
• AI Technology: Explore opportunities to leverage tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot to improve coding, data management and finance processes.
• Data Quality & Integrity: Monitor data refreshes, investigate discrepancies and ensure reporting and forecasting platforms are supported by reliable, well-structured data.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements, solve problems and deliver practical, scalable technical solutions.

Skills Required :

• Experience with SQL and/or Python for data manipulation, analysis or automation.
• Experience working with BI platforms
• Experience with financial planning, budgeting or forecasting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and develop solutions independently.
• Experience or desire to support with imbedding AI tools within the finance team.
