Café Marquesa, located at the Marquesa Hotel in Old Town Key West, is seeking a professional, personable Breakfast Server to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in thoughtful service, appreciates the details of an elevated dining experience, and makes every guest feel welcome.

Our ideal candidate brings warmth, confidence, and organization to the dining room. You should be comfortable delivering attentive, efficient service while allowing guests to enjoy breakfast at their own pace.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and guide them through the breakfast menu with confidence.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparations, and beverage offerings.
• Take accurate orders and clearly communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other breakfast beverages according to restaurant standards.
• Manage the timing of each table, anticipating needs and remaining attentive throughout the meal.
• Maintain polished table settings, replenish beverages, and clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure accurate orders and smooth service.
• Process payments accurately and handle guest concerns professionally, involving management when appropriate.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities while maintaining a clean, organized dining room and service area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal presentation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant serving experience; fine dining, upscale restaurant, or luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests.
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage several tables while maintaining service standards.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Comfort using POS systems and handling payments.
• Availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A willingness to learn, receive feedback, and take ownership of the guest experience.
