Fine Dining Host/Hostess

Job Summary

The Fine Dining Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression by welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the guest's dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Coordinate table assignments with the restaurant manager and service team.
• Maintain an accurate waiting list and provide guests with estimated waiting times.
• Answer phone calls, respond to reservation inquiries, and handle guest requests courteously.
• Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Assist in accommodating special requests, celebrations, and VIP guests.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu, promotions, and operating hours.
• Uphold the restaurant's grooming, hygiene, and service standards.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous experience in hospitality or fine dining is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems are an advantage.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
