Overview

Daughter’s Neighborhood Italian is a new Italian American restaurant opening this fall in the historic Upperline building in Uptown New Orleans. From Mia and Justin Devillier, the owners of La Petite Grocery, Daughter’s is our take on the red-sauce classics: the staples you love, made with care, in a room where everyone is welcomed like family.

Hosts and hostesses set the tone before a guest has tasted a thing. You are the first face and the last goodbye, greeting guests as if we have been expecting them, because we have.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Greet every guest promptly and personally, in person and on the phone

– Manage reservations, waitlist, and walk-ins in OpenTable

– Note celebrations, allergies, and regulars so the team can welcome guests by name

– Seat guests with attention to pacing and server balance

– Welcome carry-out guests and hand off orders with care

– Say thank you and invite guests to return as they leave

WHAT YOU BRING

– Warm, polished presence and clear communication

– Composure when the door is busy and the wait is long

– Comfort with reservation systems and phones; OpenTable experience a plus

– Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred; enthusiasm for people required

– Ability to stand for long shifts

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
