Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Server serves as an ambassador of the Harvard Club, delivering polished, attentive, and professional dining service to members and guests. This role ensures that service standards are consistently met or exceeded across all dining venues while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Compensation

• Base hourly rate: $14.50/hour + gratuities (tipped position)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable food and beverage service
• Present daily specials, offer water service, and accurately take food and drink orders
• Anticipate member and guest needs to ensure a high level of satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and kitchen staff for seamless service
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of tables, dining rooms, and service stations
• Complete assigned side work and opening/closing duties
• Operate POS systems, including opening and closing checks and handling transactions accurately
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies
• Address guest concerns with professionalism, honesty, and discretion
• Thank members upon departure and invite them to return
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to Club grooming standards
• Support colleagues and promote a respectful, team-focused environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in fine dining, high-end hospitality, or private club environments preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service instincts
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Sound judgment, integrity, and reliability
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced setting
• Basic computer skills; POS experience required
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Consistent, reliable attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift
• Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $14.50 per hour
