Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options, including wine and spirits selections
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
• Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations
• Upsell menu items, including premium wines, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process transactions efficiently using POS systems like OpenTable or other cash handling tools, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service stations while adhering to sanitation standards throughout service
• Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle inquiries or concerns professionally, and promote repeat business

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or fine dining environments; restaurant experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; nightclub or nightlife experience is advantageous
• A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and guest relations

Pay: $24.41 - $26.00 per hour
