Finish Carpenter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential remodeling and detailed finish carpentry, including door, cabinet, trim, and millwork installation. As a Finish Carpenter, you will interact with apps on your phone for time keeping and worksite documentation. You will be using your own tools with the company supplementing as needed.

Responsibilities

Use the software provided for timekeeping and worksite documentation, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Perform detailed finish carpentry, including door hanging and cabinet, trim, and millwork installation, with precision and attention to detail. Assist with flooring installation and tile work as needed.

Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to accurately execute construction plans.

Collaborate with other tradespeople on the construction site to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Train and mentor junior carpenters in best practices and safety protocols.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met on the job site.

Document regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality standards are upheld.

Skills

Strong finish carpentry skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.

Experience in remodeling projects with a focus on residential properties.

Ability to install various fixtures and finishes with precision.

Excellent understanding of construction site safety practices.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
