Finish Carpenter

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of custom residential and commercial projects, including cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, staircases, decking, crown molding, and custom millwork.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, has a strong eye for detail, and can consistently produce clean, precise work. Experience in finish carpentry or completion of a carpentry training program or apprenticeship is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Perform finish and trim carpentry according to plans, drawings, and project specifications
• Measure, cut, fit, and install trim, molding, millwork, doors, windows, ceiling panels, stair components, decking, and other woodwork
• Install crown molding, baseboards, casings, and other architectural details
• Assist with cabinet and custom woodworking projects
• Safely operate common carpentry tools and equipment, including:
• Sliding dual-bevel miter saw
• Table saw
• 18-gauge and 16-gauge pneumatic nailers
• Common hand and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and measurements
• Erect and safely work from ladders and scaffolding when required
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair issues with building components and finished work
• Work collaboratively with carpenters, journeymen, project leads, and supervisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow company safety procedures, jobsite regulations, and proper PPE requirements
• Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship on every project

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• At least 1 year of carpentry experience preferred; finish or trim carpentry experience is a plus
• Completion of a carpentry training program or apprenticeship is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently while following project plans and direction
• Ability to lift materials and equipment as needed
• Comfortable working at various heights and in tight or confined spaces
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to follow all safety requirements and wear required PPE
