Finish Carpenter

Caldwell Construction is hiring an experienced finish carpenter for high-end residential work in Santa Barbara.

Duties:

• Install casing, baseboard, crown molding, paneling, and trim
• Hang doors; install cabinets and hardware
• Stair, built-in, and detail work
• Punch-list to a high standard
• Read Drawings and sketches and build mock ups

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years finish carpentry experience
• Own hand tools; valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to read plans and work independently
• able to take instructions and follow written and verbal instructions
• Takes pride in clean, precise work

Pay: Up to $50/hr depending on experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday. Steady work for the right person.

Must be willing to learn our system and processes.

Must have reliable transportation, be able to lift 100 pounds, have own power tools, cordless tools and hand tools.

Non smoking, no alcohol, drug free environments.

Must be a licensed driver and have clean DMV record. Back ground check required.

Final candidates will complete a paid four-hour on-site skills assessment. The assessment is paid at the agreed hourly rate and evaluates craftsmanship, pace, safety, professionalism, jobsite organization, and ability to work with the team.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
