Finish caulker/installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finish Caulker/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly applying caulking, sealants, and finishing materials to ensure the durability, aesthetic appeal, and quality of various construction projects. Your expertise will help create seamless finishes on a variety of surfaces, including walls, windows, doors, and fixtures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from remodeling to new builds, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion of caulking and finishing materials.
• Accurately measure and cut caulking materials using hand tools and power tools for precise application.
• Apply caulking, sealants, plastering compounds, and other finishing products to joints, seams, and surfaces following schematics and blueprints.
• Install trim carpentry, door frames, cabinetry, glass panels, fixtures, and other building components as needed.
• Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring smooth finishes and proper sealing in accordance with construction standards.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate efficient installation processes.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks on-site and meet project deadlines.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on caulking, finishing, or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects.
• Knowledge of various construction techniques including concrete forming, roofing, plastering, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration work.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction finishing tasks.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required for specific installation tasks.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus for coordinating fixture installation or repairs.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in trim carpentry, drywall finishing, glass installation, door hanging, and fixture placement.
