Finish Trim Carpenter

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Finish Trim Carpenter and bring precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to residential and commercial projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing interior and exterior trim elements, including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trims, and other woodwork components. Your expertise will help transform spaces with flawless finishes that elevate the overall aesthetic and quality of construction. Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install various trim components using hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of trim work.
• Prepare surfaces by caulking, filling gaps with putty or spackle, and sanding to achieve smooth finishes before painting or staining.
• Use woodworking machines safely to shape and refine wood materials for precise fitting of trim pieces.
• Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project timelines are met.
• Perform restoration work such as water damage repairs, stucco application, siding replacement, or mold remediation when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools and disposing of debris; ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential carpentry, finish carpentry, or related construction roles with a focus on trim installation.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills, nail guns, sanders; woodworking machines; and scaffolding equipment.
• Familiarity with construction site safety practices related to power tool operation and heavy lifting procedures.
• Ability to perform precise measurements and detailed craftsmanship in alignment with project specifications.
• Experience working on diverse projects including remodeling, fixture installation, door hanging, siding work, tile laying, drywall finishing, plastering or rebar installation is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety standards in the restoration industry.

Pay: $26.18 - $31.53 per hour
