What they need

M2 Manufacture | Napier, Hawke’s Bay
Full-time | Manufacturing, Quality & Dispatch

An opportunity created by internal progression

Due to an internal promotion within our team, we’re looking for a new Finished Goods Co-Ordinator to join M2 Manufacture.

We’re proud to develop our people and provide opportunities to progress within the business. This vacancy is a great example of that – and we're now looking for someone who can step into this important role and make it their own.

M2 Manufacture is a Hawke’s Bay sheet metal manufacturing business producing high-quality fabricated components and finished products for customers across New Zealand.

As our Finished Goods Co-Ordinator, you'll take ownership of the final stages of our production process – making sure our products meet the required quality standard, are packaged correctly and get out the door on time.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Inspecting in-process and finished products against our quality standards

  • Identifying quality issues before products move to the next process or leave the factory

  • Receiving and distributing inward goods

  • Compiling customer orders ready for dispatch

  • Packaging finished products safely and professionally

  • Palletising and preparing larger products for freight

  • Coordinating outward goods and customer deliveries

  • Ensuring orders are dispatched on time

  • Liaising with customers regarding order and delivery status

  • Participating in root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need to have done this exact role before.

We’re more interested in finding someone who understands manufacturing, has a strong eye for detail and is prepared to take ownership of the job.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, warehousing or a similar environment
  • A strong understanding of what good quality looks like
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence communicating with production staff, suppliers and customers
  • An understanding of stock management and dispatch processes
  • A practical, hands-on approach
  • Good computer skills
  • An understanding of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment

A sheet metal fabrication or similar trade background would be an advantage but is not essential. Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement would also be beneficial.

The person we're looking for

You'll be someone who:

  • Takes pride in getting things right
  • Is comfortable holding a quality standard
  • Can use initiative and solve problems
  • Is organised and reliable
  • Isn't afraid to get hands-on when required
  • Works well as part of a production team
  • Wants to learn, develop and take on more responsibility
  • Has a good sense of humour and enjoys being part of a team

Why join M2 Manufacture?

We believe good people should have the opportunity to grow.

This role is available because we've promoted from within, and we want to continue creating those opportunities as our business develops.

You'll join a practical manufacturing environment where quality, continuous improvement and delivering for our customers matter.

For the right person, this isn't just about receiving, checking and dispatching product. It's an opportunity to learn our operation, build your manufacturing knowledge and potentially develop into greater responsibility over time.

Other offers great for you!
