Finishing Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks.
• Install cabinetry, countertops, drywall, siding, flooring, tile, and other interior or exterior finishes with precision.
• Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to prepare surfaces for finishing work.
• Apply construction painting techniques to enhance surfaces and ensure durability.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for carpentry, woodworking, assembly, and finishing tasks.
• Conduct restoration work on existing structures, including caulking, siding repairs, and masonry touch-ups.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of finishing phases while maintaining safety standards.
• Assist with plumbing and electrical rough-ins or finishes as needed to support comprehensive project completion.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout each project phase.

Experience

• Proven construction experience with a focus on finishing carpentry or related trades such as drywall installation, flooring, or masonry.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and understanding schematics to accurately execute detailed work plans.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (if applicable), and heavy lifting techniques.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read technical drawings is a plus.
• Familiarity with roofing, siding installation, rebar placement, and caulking techniques enhances versatility in the role.
• Previous handyman experience or general construction background is highly valued for adaptability across various tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, scaffolding use, electrical work, plumbing connections, and working at heights.
