Finishing Manager – Longford

• I'm currently working with a leading main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Finishing Manager to join their team on a live hospital project in Longford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finishing Manager to join an established project team and take responsibility for the finishing stages of a major healthcare development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finishing works on site, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with the project programme.

The Role

• Manage and coordinate all finishing works across the project.
• Oversee subcontractors and finishing trades on site.
• Ensure works are completed to a high standard and in line with project specifications.
• Coordinate finishing activities with the wider site team.
• Monitor progress and ensure finishing works remain on programme.
• Carry out regular inspections and identify any defects or outstanding works.
• Coordinate snagging and ensure all items are closed out efficiently.
• Work closely with the Site Management and Project Management teams.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure quality and programme requirements are met.
• Ensure all finishing works are completed in preparation for handover.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship across the project.
• Coordinate works across multiple areas of the hospital development.
• Assist with the overall handover and completion of the project.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Finishing Manager or similar role.
• Previous experience on a hospital or similar healthcare project is essential.
• Previous experience working with a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of finishing works and construction processes.
• Experience managing multiple finishing trades and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of quality, snagging and handover requirements.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage works to tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider site management team.
