Finishing Technician

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our small friendly team as a as a Multi Skilled Operative. You will need ambition and drive to deliver at a consistently high level, to help us retain the excellent reputation we already have. As a flexible role you will be working across a number of departments in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of units by undertaking final preparation work including but not limited to installation of final fixings, sealing of windows & WC/kitchen areas, touch up painting, & cleaning.
• Fixing sheeting to the units for weather protection
• Help in loading and unloading production materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are organized and accessible for the team.
• Support painters and providing tools supplies, and preparation tasks as needed during the application process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by disposing of waste materials, covering furniture, and ensuring all areas are tidy at the end of each workday.
• Perform minor repairs and touch-ups on units prior to collection from the factory.
• Undertake tasks to assist with the production of the units as instructed by the Foreman.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels of supplies and tools, notifying supervisors when items need replenishing.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
• Assist in the Fabrication shop.
• Preparation of steel units for painting, & assisting in the paint bay.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a multi skilled role is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Fork lift experience desired but not essential.
• Team player.

· Salary £12.71 per hour plus overtime when available.
