Finnish Speaker

Shaip AI is looking for a Finnish language specialist to review speech recordings for pronunciation, accent, and speech naturalness. In this role, you will listen to recorded sentences and assess whether the spoken Finnish is natural and consistent with standard Finnish pronunciation.

Responsibilities

• Review approximately 235 short sentences per participant.
• Evaluate pronunciation, accent, and overall speech naturalness.
• Identify and flag pronunciation errors, inconsistencies, or other speech-quality issues.
• Apply the provided evaluation criteria consistently across recordings.
• Complete assigned reviews within the agreed turnaround time.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 30–45 minutes per participant audit.
• Work is assigned in batches based on project requirements and availability.
• Flexible schedule, with reviews to be completed within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Finnish, with the ability to accurately assess Finnish pronunciation and speech naturalness.
• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to distinguish natural Finnish pronunciation from pronunciation that may sound non-native or inconsistent.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Quiet working environment and good-quality headphones.
• Previous experience in linguistics, language quality assurance, transcription, speech annotation, or related work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines and maintain consistent evaluation quality.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Internship, Commission

Pay: 5,00€ - 6,00€ per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
