FinTech AI R&D Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on builder who values real ownership, rapid iteration, and close involvement in product and technical decisions. You will work closely with the founding team and contribute across the full R&D lifecycle, from early-stage proof of concept to engineering delivery and client deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI and FinTech solutions from proof of concept through experimentation, iteration, and engineering delivery.
• Translate research ideas and emerging AI technologies into reliable, client-facing products.
• Conduct technical experiments, evaluate model performance, and improve product functionality.
• Work closely with the founding team on product design, R&D priorities, and technical decisions.
• Participate in client discovery, solution design, implementation, and on-site technical support.
• Support product deployment and continuous improvement based on client feedback and real-world use cases.

About you

• Fluent Mandarin in both spoken and written form.
• Willing to travel occasionally to Mainland China for client discovery and on-site support.
• STEM background with hands-on R&D experience, including PoC development, experimentation, iteration, and engineering implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
• FinTech startup or FinTech R&D experience is an advantage.
