Fire Alarm Engineer Freelance

Valo Safety Solutions Ltd is looking for experienced freelance Fire Alarm Engineers to join our subcontractor network for planned maintenance work across London.

The work will primarily involve PPM servicing and testing within residential blocks and communal areas.

We are particularly interested in engineers who have experience across fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and AOV/smoke ventilation systems.

Typical work will include:

• Fire alarm servicing and testing
• Emergency lighting testing, including duration testing
• AOV / smoke ventilation servicing and operational testing
• Identifying and reporting defects
• Completing clear service reports and certification
• Providing photographs and supporting evidence where required
• Communicating any access, system or technical issues identified during attendance

Requirements:

• Proven fire alarm servicing/maintenance experience
• Emergency lighting experience
• AOV/smoke ventilation experience desirable
• Relevant industry qualifications/training
• Current Public Liability Insurance
• Self employed / UTR registered
• Own tools and appropriate test equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable communication and attendance
• Professional service reports/certification
• Ability to travel to sites across London

Rates & Work

• Fixed prices for individual PPM visits can also be agreed in advance.
• Flexible freelance/subcontract work
• Planned PPM rather than guaranteed full-time hours
• Potential for regular and recurring work
• Additional remedial opportunities where appropriate
• Rates and scope agreed before attendance
