Duties

• Coordinate and schedule fire alarm system inspections, maintenance, and testing with clients and field technicians to ensure timely service delivery.
• Assist in the installation of fire alarm systems, including reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical blueprints to support accurate setup.
• Review system design documents, CAD drawings, and construction plans to verify compliance with building codes, NFPA standards, and local fire codes.
• Conduct or oversee construction inspections related to fire alarm and sprinkler system installations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and building regulations.
• Support field technicians by providing technical guidance on proprietary fire alarm control panels, sensors, low voltage wiring, and electrical work.
• Maintain detailed records of system maintenance, inspections, and repairs; prepare reports for compliance audits and client documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding system status, service schedules, and upgrades; provide exceptional customer service throughout all interactions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or service technician roles within construction or building management environments.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including proprietary control panels, sensors, schematics, and NFPA standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and construction documents accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with low voltage wiring and electrical troubleshooting using voltmeters and power tools.
• Understanding of building code compliance related to fire alarms, sprinklers, and other life safety systems such as NFPA standards.
• Experience in construction inspection or engineering troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills for scheduling tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward client communication and problem resolution.

Pay: $52,197.42 - $62,861.45 per year
