Fire & Security Engineer

Onyx Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Fire & Security Engineer for a permanent position with an established Fire Protection business expanding its Electronic Security offering.

This is an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage of that expansion and play a key role in developing the Security Systems side of the business alongside its existing Fire & Life Safety services.

THE ROLE

• Installation, service and maintenance of Fire & Security systems
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Testing and commissioning
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and call-outs
• Installation and upgrading of existing systems
• Work across both Fire and Electronic Security disciplines
• Support the continued development of the Security Systems offering
• Liaise directly with customers and site representatives
• Complete required technical and service documentation
• Ensure works are delivered to required technical and safety standards

SYSTEMS

Experience across a combination of the following is required:

• Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
• Emergency Lighting
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Intruder Alarm Systems

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Previous Fire & Security engineering experience
• Strong technical knowledge across multiple disciplines
• Experience with CCTV, Access Control and Intruder systems
• Fire Alarm experience
• Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding capabilities
• Installation and commissioning experience advantageous
• Ability to work independently and diagnose technical faults
• Strong customer-facing skills
• Interest in helping develop and grow a Security Systems division
• Full driving licence
