About Raven Fire & Security

Established in 1993, Raven Fire & Security is a small, well-established independent company providing fire and security solutions across North Wales and surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our small, friendly team.

We are looking for someone with substantial industry experience who can work confidently and independently, take pride in their work and provide a professional service to our customers. As a small company, you'll be a valued member of the team and have the opportunity to work across a varied range of fire and security systems.

The Role

The successful applicant will carry out installation, servicing, fault finding, commissioning and remedial works across a range of systems, including:

• Conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems
• Intruder alarm systems
• CCTV systems
• Access control
• Emergency lighting
• Fire alarm monitoring and ARC signalling
• Automatic gates and associated systems – experience advantageous

The role includes planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs, installations, system upgrades, fault finding and commissioning across commercial and residential sites.

Experience & Requirements

We are specifically looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in the fire and security industry who is comfortable attending sites and diagnosing faults independently.

Experience with systems from manufacturers including Kentec, Advanced, C-TEC, Hochiki, Apollo, EMS, Orisec, Risco, Honeywell/Galaxy, Hikvision and Paxton would be highly beneficial.

Applicants should have:

• Proven experience within the fire and security industry
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of fire alarm and security systems
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry requirements
• Ability to install, service, fault-find and commission systems
• Ability to complete service documentation and reports accurately
• Good communication and customer service skills
• FIA, BAFE or equivalent qualifications desirable
• ECS/CSCS card preferred but not essential
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota

Applicants must be able to work on their own initiative, be reliable, organised and professional, and hold a full current UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of our business, the successful applicant will be required to undergo Security Screening in accordance with BS 7858.
